Phase 2.
On June 23rd we marked 100 days of lockdown here in Toronto. One. Hundred. Days. That's mind boggling. And also impressive. It proves we as a community can do things we never thought we could do. Imagine the possibilities!
The world is full of change and unrest and it feels like an opportunity to take a hard look and apply ourselves as individuals and as a community. So while the City is moving forward with Stage 2 of reopening, we are staying closed until we can welcome you back to Mess Hall in safe and impactful ways.
And on June 20th we marked the Summer Solstice. That's also something to celebrate!
While the Canada Day BBQs and beach parties will have to wait, we're quietly savouring the wonderful fresh Ontario Produce that's appearing in our food boxes, and nurturing the baby tomato plants in our tiny urban gardens. (While fighting those darn squirrels!) We are so fortunate.
We would love to hear from you about how you feel about Stage 2. Are you hitting restaurant patios? Are you interested in attending socially distanced, in-person workshops or classes? Reply directly to this email and we'll get your message. And thank you!
Eat well, stay safe, take care of each other.
